Greggs Voucher Codes 2026: What Actually Works Right Now
Greggs doesn’t use public voucher codes, so most “codes” online are dead on arrival. This guide was checked on 8 October 2026 against Greggs’ own promotions terms, O2 Priority’s Greggs T&Cs and our other Greggs deal guides. It lists every offer that genuinely takes money off, and what to ignore.
The short version
There is no Greggs discount code or promo code you can type in at the till or at Click + Collect, so coupon-site strings like “GREGGS20” don’t work. What does work in October 2026 is app- and partner-based: Greggs app Rewards (free welcome drink, 9+1 stamps, birthday treat), O2 Priority (£1 hot drink or savoury each week), Monzo Perks (free weekly treat on a £7/month plan), Octopus Octoplus (free weekly hot drink with a smart meter), the Student Beans sandwich-deal freebie, Too Good To Go bags from £2.99, and 25p off with a reusable cup.
Do Greggs voucher codes exist?
Not in the way coupon sites suggest. Greggs sells through three channels: the shop till, Click + Collect (website or app) and delivery through Just Eat and Uber Eats, Greggs’ two official delivery partners. None of them has a box for a public, reusable Greggs promo code.
Offers instead sit in one of three places: your Greggs app Wallet, a partner app (O2 Priority, Monzo, Octopus, Student Beans) where you get a personal QR code or unique single-use code, or a delivery platform checkout, where any code belongs to Just Eat or Uber Eats rather than Greggs. Because partner codes are tied to one member and used once, a string copied from a coupon page has nowhere to go. Greggs publishes its live terms on its promotions and offers page.

How each offer works, and the catch
Greggs app Rewards: welcome drink, stamps and birthday treat
Register in the free Greggs app and a free hot drink (any size) or iced drink (selected shops) lands in your Wallet. Scan the app at the till, or order via Click + Collect, to earn a stamp on each eligible item across six categories: Savouries & Bakes, Breakfast, Sandwiches & Salads, Sweet Treats, Drinks & Snacks and Hot Food. Nine stamps in one category unlock a free 10th item from that category, valid for 31 days. Add your date of birth for a yearly sweet treat. The app also sends personal extras such as double-stamp weeks, a free product worth up to £4 and discounted app meal deals, which usually expire within 7 to 14 days.
The catch: no stamps on reduced-price items, Greggs Express shops or delivery orders, and a reward can’t be combined with other offers (though you can use it on one item inside a meal deal). Full walkthrough: how the Greggs app stamp system works, plus our Greggs app tricks and birthday treat guide.
O2 Priority: £1 hot drink or £1 savoury
Priority is free for O2 and Virgin Media customers. Each week you can claim either a £1 hot drink (any size) or a £1 savoury such as a sausage roll, vegan sausage roll, cheese & onion bake, steak bake, chicken bake or pizza slice, not both. Occasionally O2 runs genuinely free drops, like the free hot drink the morning after England and Scotland World Cup matches in June 2026.
The catch: codes are limited (at least 32,000 drink and 27,000 savoury codes a week), you should reveal the QR code only within 25 minutes of ordering, it’s take-away only, and motorway-service (MOTO) shops are excluded. Details in our O2 Priority guide.
Monzo Perks: free weekly Greggs treat
Open Perks in the Monzo app, choose a sausage roll (regular, vegan or chicken), a regular hot drink, a doughnut or a muffin, and show the QR code at the till. No purchase is needed. A new treat appears every Monday and any unclaimed one expires at 11:59pm on Sunday.
The catch: it needs a paid plan (Perks £7/month or Max £17/month). The treat alone is worth about £85 a year against an £84 subscription, so it only pays off if you use the other perks too. A few motorway-service shops don’t take it. See the Monzo Perks walkthrough.
Octopus Octoplus: free Greggs coffee every week
Octopus Energy electricity customers with a smart meter can opt into Octoplus and claim a free regular hot drink each week at Greggs or Caffè Nero. You pick one or the other, and the code is released in the Octopus app.
The catch: the Greggs code is only valid for that week, and popular codes can run out early in the day.
Greggs student discount
Show a Student Beans ID page or valid student card in shop when you buy a full Sandwich Deal (a cold sandwich plus a cold drink or regular hot drink) and you get one free sausage roll, vegan roll or cheese & onion bake, or a sweet treat in selected shops. A separate Student Beans Freshers promotion offers up to 1,000 codes for a free savoury roll between 30 October and 21 November 2026. Add the code to your Greggs app Wallet by 21 November.
The catch: it’s a freebie, not a percentage off, and it excludes Click + Collect, Uber Eats and Just Eat. The Freshers codes exclude MOTO shops. See our student discount guide.
Too Good To Go: Greggs Grab Bags and Surprise Bags
Reserve and pay in the Too Good To Go app, then collect from your chosen shop. Grab Bags cost £2.99 for about £8 of surplus food (usually three items such as potato wedges, mozzarella bites or chicken goujons) and are collected through the day in 1,800+ shops. Surprise Bags of unsold bakes and sandwiches are collected at the end of the day or early morning in fewer shops.
The catch: contents are a surprise and not guaranteed hot, bags sell out, and because you pay through Too Good To Go your Greggs app offers don’t apply. More in Too Good To Go at Greggs and what happens to unsold Greggs food.
Reusable cup, gift cards and the Blue Light Card
Bring a reusable cup for 25p off a hot drink (not combinable with another deal). Blue Light Card members can buy Greggs gift cards at around 8% off via the card’s Shopping Cards, and its loyalty programme has awarded a free Greggs breakfast voucher after 10+ qualifying purchases in a month. Greggs gift cards cost £10 to £100, last 24 months from the last transaction, can’t be reloaded and don’t work on delivery apps. Add one to your Greggs app Wallet to keep earning stamps. See our gift card guide and the NHS and Blue Light Card answer.
Just Eat and Uber Eats delivery codes
These are the only “type a code” moments, and the code belongs to the platform, not Greggs. Deliveroo isn’t an official Greggs delivery partner, so listings there are patchy. Delivery menu prices run roughly 10 to 15% above in-shop, plus delivery and service fees, which often adds £3 to £5 to a basket. A new-customer code can easily cancel out against Click + Collect.
The catch: stamps, app rewards and gift cards don’t work on delivery orders. Compare apps in our delivery comparison and Just Eat ordering guide.
Stacking rules: what combines, what doesn’t
| Combination | Works? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Monzo free treat + your normal order | Yes | The perk is a free item with its own QR code and needs no purchase |
| Stamp reward + a meal deal | Partly | You can use a reward on one item inside a deal, but not alongside other active offers |
| O2 £1 reward + stamps or other offers | No | O2’s terms bar use with any other offer or Greggs loyalty scheme, so claim it as a separate purchase |
| O2 £1 reward + a meal deal | No | If you buy another item as part of a deal, Greggs applies the best deal instead of the code |
| Gift card payment + Greggs app | Yes | Add the card to your Wallet and you still earn stamps |
| Reusable-cup 25p + another offer | No | Greggs says it can’t be used with any other deal |
| Too Good To Go bag + app offers | No | Separate checkout |
| Delivery platform code + app rewards, stamps or gift card | No | Different checkout; Greggs rewards aren’t available on delivery channels |
Dead codes and discount myths
- Coupon-aggregator strings (“GREGGS20”, “BAKE10”, “FREEDRINK”). Greggs has no public, reusable code for them to be entered against.
- “Free Greggs voucher” links on social media. Never enter card details to claim one. Real offers live in the Greggs app or a partner app.
- An NHS or Blue Light till discount. There isn’t one, though Blue Light Card gift cards at around 8% off are real (see above).
- A percentage student discount. It’s a free roll or sweet treat with a Sandwich Deal, not money off.
- A senior or OAP discount. Greggs doesn’t advertise one. Older regulars get the same app, partner and meal-deal savings as everyone else.
- “Greggs free delivery codes”. Greggs runs no delivery checkout of its own; platform promos are a different thing.
- Expired seasonal strings. Festive Bake, Halloween or advent promos are dead once the campaign ends.
- Swapped or bought partner QR codes. O2 and Octopus codes are personal and single-use, so shared ones are usually already used or expired.
The 10-second reality check
- Is it in your Greggs app Wallet or Offers? Real.
- Is it inside O2 Priority, Monzo, Octopus or Student Beans? Real, but claim it there, not on a coupon page.
- Does it work at a Just Eat or Uber Eats checkout? Real, but it’s the platform’s promo, so mind fees and minimum spends.
- Is it listed on Greggs’ own promotions terms? Real.
- Anything else, such as a Facebook comment or a code from a TikTok round-up? Assume it’s dead until one of the four above confirms it.
Shop types: why your saving isn’t my saving
Our Price Finder splits Greggs into three shop types. Flat perks like a £1 drink save more cash where menu prices are higher, and exclusions matter more than headlines.
| Shop type | Where | Prices | Offers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Most high-street and retail-park shops | Baseline | App and partner offers normally valid |
| City / London | Central London and big-city shops | Above baseline on many lines | Normally valid; flat perks save more |
| Airport and motorway services | Airports, MOTO and other travel hubs (see airport prices) | Highest tier | Often excluded: O2 Priority and Student Beans codes skip MOTO shops, some motorway shops don’t take Monzo, and Greggs Express shops don’t earn stamps |

When real Greggs promos land
Dates marked with a year come from Greggs’ terms or partner pages. Other rows are typical patterns, so treat them as a guide.
| When | What tends to land | Where |
|---|---|---|

| Jan – Mar | New-year app offers; Easter menu launch | Greggs app |
| Apr – Jun | App freebies (a free Chicken Roll ran 22 April to 6 May 2026); O2 free-drink drops around the World Cup (June 2026) | Greggs app, O2 Priority |
| Jul – Sep | Quicknic deal on qualifying sunny August days (cold baguette plus savoury roll from £4.75, 11am to 4pm); back-to-uni student offers | Greggs app, social |
| Oct | Halloween menu (2026 guide); Steak & Stilton swap guarantee until 18 October 2026; Student Beans Freshers codes from 30 October | Greggs app, Student Beans |
| Nov – Dec | Festive Bake returns (2026 details); gift-card season | Greggs app, in shop |
FAQs
Does Greggs have voucher or promo codes in 2026?
Not public ones. There is no reusable code you can type at the till or at Click + Collect. Offers live in your Greggs app Wallet, in partner apps (O2 Priority, Monzo, Octopus, Student Beans) as personal QR or unique codes, or at Just Eat and Uber Eats as that platform’s own promo. Anything a coupon site lists, such as GREGGS20, has nowhere to be entered.
How can I get free Greggs?
Claim the free welcome drink when you register in the Greggs app, collect 9 stamps in a category for a free 10th item, and add your birthday for a free sweet treat. Monzo Perks gives a free weekly treat on a paid plan, Octopus Octoplus gives a free weekly hot drink with a smart meter, and students get a free roll or sweet treat with a Sandwich Deal. O2 Priority is £1 rather than free, apart from occasional free-drink drops.
Is there a Greggs student discount?
There is no percentage discount, but students get a free sausage roll, vegan roll, cheese and onion bake or sweet treat (selected shops) with a full Sandwich Deal when they show a Student Beans ID page or valid student card. It excludes Click + Collect, Uber Eats and Just Eat. A Student Beans Freshers promotion also offers up to 1,000 free savoury roll codes from 30 October to 21 November 2026.
Is there an NHS or Blue Light Card discount at Greggs?
No, there is no NHS or Blue Light Card discount at the till. Blue Light Card members can buy Greggs gift cards at around 8% off through the app’s Shopping Cards, and the card’s loyalty programme has awarded a free Greggs breakfast voucher. A few franchise or motorway-service shops run their own goodwill discounts, but that is not chain-wide.
Do O2 Priority offers stack with Greggs app stamps?
No. O2’s terms say the £1 reward can’t be used with any other offer or Greggs loyalty scheme, and it can’t be applied when you buy another item as part of a deal, because Greggs works out the best deal for you. Claim it as a separate purchase.
Can I use a Greggs gift card on Just Eat or Uber Eats?
No. Gift cards work in shop and through the Greggs app’s Click + Collect, not on delivery platforms. Delivery orders also don’t earn stamps or app rewards.
Does Greggs deliver through Deliveroo?
Greggs’ official delivery partners are Just Eat and Uber Eats. Deliveroo isn’t an official partner, so any Greggs listing there is unofficial and patchy. Delivery menu prices are typically 10 to 15% higher than in shop.
Do Greggs offers work at motorway services?
Often not. O2 Priority excludes MOTO forecourt shops, the Student Beans Freshers codes exclude MOTO franchise shops, and a few motorway-service shops don’t accept the Monzo perk. Check the offer terms before you go.
The bottom line
Stop hunting for a magic string. Put the Greggs app on your phone, claim one partner perk you’re eligible for (O2, Monzo or Octopus), and keep an eye on Too Good To Go bags. For more, see our Greggs deals hub, the discounts and deals guide, the freebie codes list and our weekly spend and savings calculator.
