Greggs O2 Priority 2026: £1 Hot Drinks Every Week
If you’re on O2 or Virgin Media and you’ve never bothered opening the Priority app, you’ve genuinely been leaving money on the table. This one’s simple, it’s weekly, and it works out at more than most people realise over a year. Here’s exactly how it works.
O2 Priority members (that’s O2 mobile customers and Virgin Media broadband customers, at no extra cost) can get a Greggs hot drink or savoury treat for £1 every single week. It’s not a one-off promo — O2 upgraded it from a monthly claim to a weekly one in December 2025, and it’s still running now. You pick either a drink or a treat each week, not both, activate it in the Priority app, and pay £1 at the till.
So what’s the actual deal here?
Priority is O2’s free loyalty layer, built into the Priority app, and it’s genuinely free to use if you’re an O2 mobile customer or a Virgin Media broadband customer — you don’t pay extra for it, and it doesn’t require a specific plan. Since December 2022, Greggs has been one of its headline food partners, having taken over the slot that used to belong to Caffè Nero.
The current offer, confirmed by Virgin Media O2 and still running through 2026, gives every Priority member one of these each week:
| Option | Usual price | You pay | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
| A hot drink | Up to £4.20 | £1.00 | Up to £3.20 |
| A savoury treat | Up to £3.95 | £1.00 | Up to £2.95 |
You choose one or the other each week, not both. Skip a week and it doesn’t roll over — it just resets the following week.
How much does this actually add up to?
It sounds small in isolation, but claiming it every single week changes the maths.
How to actually claim it
Real trip-up to avoid: once you tap “Use Now,” your unique code is live for 25 minutes only. Tap it from home and queue at Greggs afterwards, and there’s a decent chance it’ll expire before you reach the till. Only activate it once you’re genuinely on your way in.
What actually counts as the “savoury treat”?
This bit trips a lot of people up, because it’s not “anything savoury.” O2’s own terms list the items that qualify:
| Eligible for the £1 savoury treat |
|---|
| Sausage Roll & Vegan Sausage Roll |
| Cheese & Onion Bake |
| Steak Bake & Chicken Bake |
| Sausage, Bean & Cheese Melt |
| Margherita & Pepperoni Pizza |
| Seasonal or rotational bakes |

Any branches where this doesn’t work?
Yes, a handful. The offer isn’t valid at Greggs shops inside MOTO motorway service stations, including sites at Doncaster, Toddington, Heston, Hilton Park, Lancaster, Rugby, Wetherby and several others. These tend to be higher-cost, franchised travel locations, so it’s not really a surprise — but it’s worth knowing before you plan a motorway stop around it. Everywhere else, it’s fair game.
It wasn’t always weekly
Worth knowing if you’ve used this before and assumed it was still monthly.
There’s also been the odd extra bonus layered on top through 2026 — O2 handed out thousands of free (not £1, actually free) Greggs hot drinks to fans the morning after England and Scotland’s late-night matches during this summer’s football tournament. Worth keeping notifications on for the Priority app around any major tournament; these bonus drops tend to appear without much warning.
Worth stacking with your other Greggs habits
O2 Priority is just one piece of the puzzle. If you’re already collecting stamps on the Greggs AppStamp system, there’s no reason not to run both at once — they’re completely separate schemes. Bank-based perks like Monzo’s weekly Greggs treat work the same way alongside it, and if you’re a student, it’s worth checking our Greggs student discount guide too. None of these schemes cancel each other out.
Quick questions, straight answers
Once a week, every week. O2 upgraded this reward from a monthly claim to a weekly one in December 2025, and it’s continued into 2026. Each week you can choose either a hot drink or a savoury treat for £1, but not both in the same week.
You choose one of two routes each week: a hot drink (normally up to £4.20), or a savoury treat such as a Sausage Roll, Vegan Sausage Roll, Cheese & Onion Bake, Steak Bake, Chicken Bake, Sausage Bean & Cheese Melt, Margherita or Pepperoni Pizza, or a seasonal bake (normally up to £3.95). Either way, you pay just £1.
Both. Priority is available at no extra cost to O2 mobile customers and to Virgin Media broadband customers, so you don’t need a mobile contract with O2 specifically to use it, as long as you’re on Virgin Media broadband. You’ll need the Priority app and to be a UK resident aged 16 or over.
The short version: if you’ve got O2 or Virgin Media and you’re not opening the Priority app once a week, you’re quietly turning down free money. Set a reminder, grab your drink or your bake, and let it become a habit.
