⚡ What’s the Deal Right Now?

O2 Priority members can grab a Greggs hot drink OR a savoury treat for just £1 every week — up to four times in a single month. That’s a potential saving of £3.20 a month, and it costs nothing to sign up for Priority. The deal is ongoing throughout 2026 for all O2 mobile and Virgin Media broadband customers aged 16 and over.

The Basics

What Is O2 Priority and Why Should You Care?

O2 Priority is O2’s free loyalty and rewards app, available to every O2 mobile customer and every Virgin Media broadband customer at absolutely no extra cost. There are no points to collect, no subscription to pay, and no catches hidden in small print. You simply download the Priority app, sign in with your O2 or Virgin Media account, and the rewards are yours.

In 2025 alone, Priority gave members access to more than 8 million rewards and helped subscribers collectively save £33 million. Greggs is, comfortably, the most popular ongoing deal on the whole platform — and honestly, it’s easy to see why. A hot coffee or a steak bake for a quid, every week, on your way to work. It adds up.

Who qualifies? Any O2 mobile customer (Pay Monthly or Pay As You Go) or any Virgin Media broadband customer who is a UK resident aged 16 or over. If you’re on O2 and you haven’t downloaded Priority yet, you’re leaving money on the table every single week.

What You Get

The Greggs O2 Priority Deal Explained

The current deal has been running since late 2025 and O2 has confirmed it continues throughout 2026. There are two separate rewards available — you pick one per weekly claim. They are not bundled together; it’s one or the other each time you claim, but you can alternate between them week to week.

💡 Top Tip: Go for the Large

The £1 hot drink reward applies to any size, including large — so there’s no reason to order a small. A large latte at Greggs normally costs around £4.20, so claiming the large every time is the best value you’ll get from this deal. Multiple people have confirmed this works at branches nationwide.

Greggs O2 Priority 2026 — How to Claim in 5 Steps
1

Download the Priority App

Search for “Priority from O2” on the App Store or Google Play. It’s free. If you already have it, just make sure it’s updated to the latest version — older versions occasionally have glitches with QR codes.

2

Sign In With Your Account

Use your O2 account details if you’re an O2 mobile customer, or your Virgin Media login if you’re a VM broadband customer. Both work exactly the same within the app.

3

Find the Greggs Reward

Tap the “Rewards” tab in the app. The Greggs deal appears as a regular weekly offer. Select whether you want the £1 hot drink or the £1 savoury treat — you’ll pick one each time you claim.

4

Head to Your Greggs

Walk or drive to a participating Greggs branch. Do not tap Use Now yet. Most Greggs shops participate, but a very small number are excluded — particularly in airports and some motorway services.

5

Tap Use Now at the Till

Once you’re in the queue, tap “Use Now.” A unique QR code appears on your screen. Show it to the server at the till. The code is live for 25 minutes only.

⚠️ Never activate the code before you’re actually in Greggs.

6

Pay Your £1

The discount is applied immediately at the till. You pay £1 by card or contactless for whatever you’ve ordered. No minimum spend, no extra purchase required. Simples.

⚠️ Important Restrictions to Know

The reward is valid for takeaway only — you cannot use it for eat-in purchases. It cannot be combined with any other offer in the same transaction. Rewards are subject to availability and while stocks last, meaning busy branches may run out. The code is tied to your account so you cannot share it.

Insider Tips

Six Ways to Get More From the Greggs O2 Priority Deal

Always Order the Largest Size

The £1 deal applies to any size hot drink, so always ask for a large. A large latte saves you £3.20 versus a regular which saves only around £2.35. Same £1 outlay, meaningfully more value.

Enable App Notifications

Turn on Priority app notifications so you’re alerted when special bonus deals — like the football free drinks — go live. These drop at 8am and go quickly. You don’t want to miss them scrolling through email.

Alternate Drink and Treat

You can pick whichever reward you like each week — there’s no restriction on alternating. Week one: hot drink. Week two: steak bake. This keeps things interesting and makes the most of both rewards.

Spin to Win Every Monday

O2 introduced a “Spin to Win” mechanic from June 2026. Open the app every Monday, tap to spin, and if all three prizes match, you win a weekly bonus prize. Greggs items appear regularly. Takes 10 seconds.

Never Tap Use Now Early

The single biggest mistake people make. The code runs for 25 minutes from the moment you tap it. If you activate it walking to Greggs and then queue for 20 minutes, you may run out of time. Always wait until you’re at the front of the queue.

Set a Weekly Reminder

The deal resets weekly. Set a simple calendar reminder — perhaps on your commute day — so you remember to claim every week rather than missing the odd one. Claimed consistently, this is genuinely over £150 a year back in your pocket.

History

How the Deal Has Changed Over Time

If you’ve been an O2 customer for a few years, you’ll remember when this deal was even better. The original Priority Greggs offer was a completely free hot drink every week, plus a free sausage roll every Friday and Saturday. In September 2024, O2 changed this — and not everyone was happy about it. Here’s a clear comparison of how things have shifted.

Greggs O2 Priority deal changes over time
PeriodHot DrinkFood ItemFrequencyCost
Before Sep 2024Free (any size)Free sausage rollWeekly drink · Fri/Sat food£0
Sep 2024 – late 2025£1 hot drink£1 savoury treatBoth: once per month only£2/month
Late 2025 – present (2026)£1 hot drink£1 savoury treatOnce a week (4×/month)£4/month max
📌 Our Verdict

The current 2026 deal is much better than the September 2024 change but still not as generous as the original free weekly drinks. That said, at £1 a week for a large coffee or a steak bake, it’s still one of the better ongoing food deals available in the UK with no strings attached. If you’re an O2 or Virgin Media customer and not using it, you really should be.

FAQ

Greggs O2 Priority — Questions Answered

In 2026, O2 Priority members can claim either a Greggs hot drink (worth up to £4.20) or a savoury treat (worth up to £3.95) for just £1, every week, up to four times a month. That’s a saving of up to £3.20 per month on the regular deal alone. There are also bonus limited-time offers throughout the year — including completely free Greggs hot drinks after late-night England and Scotland football matches in June 2026.
Open the O2 Priority app, find the Greggs reward, then head to Greggs. Only tap “Use Now” when you are in the queue and ready to order — the QR code it generates expires after just 25 minutes. Show the code at the till, pay your £1, and you’re done. Downloading the app is free; signing in with your O2 or Virgin Media account takes under a minute.
You pay £1 for the drink or treat — so it’s not entirely free. However, the O2 Priority membership itself costs nothing. There’s no subscription, no monthly fee, no separate sign-up cost. It’s simply a perk included with O2 mobile contracts and Virgin Media broadband at no extra charge. So relative to what you’re already paying O2 or Virgin Media, the weekly £1 Greggs is about as close to free as it gets.
The most common culprit is activating the code too early — it’s only valid for 25 minutes from when you tap “Use Now.” Other common causes: you’ve already used your weekly claim; the branch isn’t a participating location (some airport and motorway service Greggs outlets are excluded); or you’re trying to combine it with another offer (not allowed). If none of those apply, try force-closing the app, checking your account is active, or contacting O2 on 202 free from an O2 phone.
Yes, absolutely. O2 Priority is free for both O2 mobile customers and Virgin Media broadband customers — both networks are owned by Virgin Media O2. Download the Priority app, sign in with your Virgin Media account, and you get exactly the same Greggs deals as any O2 mobile customer. No second-class treatment at all.
The O2 Priority savoury deal is much more flexible than the old sausage-roll-only offer. You can choose from a range of Greggs savouries including a classic Steak Bake, Vegan Roll, Pizza Slice, Chicken Bake, and other participating savoury items — subject to availability in your branch. The choice is yours each time you claim. The one restriction is that you can’t combine the savoury and hot drink rewards in a single transaction under the Priority deal.
Yes, it has changed a couple of times. The original deal offered a completely free hot drink every week, plus a free sausage roll on Fridays and Saturdays. In September 2024 this was cut back significantly — to just £1 for a hot drink once a month and £1 for a savoury treat once a month. Since late 2025, the deal was upgraded again to the current version: £1 for a drink or savoury treat every week (up to 4 times a month), which is better than the 2024 change but still not as generous as the original free weekly drinks.
