Greggs 2026 Festive Menu Unveiled
Greggs festive menu 2026: every item, price and calorie
Greggs finished revealing its 2026 Christmas range in mid-October, and the full line-up reaches every UK shop on Thursday 22 October. I went through Greggs’ own announcements, the press coverage and the nutrition pages so you don’t have to. Below is every item, what it costs, the calories Greggs has published so far, and what I think is worth your money.
2026.
The short version
Greggs’ 2026 festive menu comes in two waves. Pigs in Blankets, the Sweet Mince Pie Roll, Sweet Mince Pies, Christmas Cake Slice and Mini Caramel Shortbreads have been out since 1 October. The rest lands on Thursday 22 October: the new-recipe Festive Bake (£2.50), the Pigs Under Blankets Toastie (£4.10), a Pepperoni Pizza with Hot Honey (£2.70) and the candy cane drinks. The Festive Bake is 35p to 40p dearer than last year, and no vegan bake has been announced.

In shops from Thursday 22 October 2026. Wave one has been out since 1 October.
What’s new and what’s back on the 2026 Greggs Christmas menu
Greggs split the launch in two this year, so it helps to know which wave an item belongs to before you queue. Wave one arrived on Thursday 1 October. Pigs in Blankets came back in a pot of six after four years off the menu, and they brought three sweet mates: the new Sweet Mince Pie Roll, the returning Sweet Mince Pies and Christmas Cake Slice, and a six-pack of Christmas Mini Caramel Shortbreads.
Wave two is the main event, in shops from Thursday 22 October 2026. The headliner is the Festive Bake with a new recipe. The new Pigs Under Blankets Toastie sits next to the returning Festive Feast Baguette, a Festive Flatbread and a curveball, the Pepperoni Pizza with Hot Honey. There’s no turkey anywhere on the savoury side. It’s chicken, ham hock, pork and bacon.

Our Greggs Christmas menu 2026 hub tracks additions and price changes as the season runs. Come back to this page for the numbers and the buying advice.
The new Festive Bake: what changed from 2025
Greggs calls it a “new and improved recipe”. The filling grows from three main ingredients to five, the pastry is now glazed, and the price jumps more than anything else on the shelf.
| 2025 | 2026 | |
|---|---|---|
| Filling | Chicken pieces, sage and onion stuffing, sweetcure bacon | Cooked chicken, smoked ham hock, sweetcure bacon, soft cheese, pork, sage and onion stuffing |
| Sauce | Creamy sage and cranberry | Creamy sage and cranberry |
| Pastry | Crumb topped pastry | Glazed puff pastry with a crumb topping |
| Price | £2.10 (some listings show £2.15) | £2.50 |
That’s 35p to 40p more than last year, roughly 16 to 19%. Most of the other festive staples have moved by 5p to 25p, so the bake is the outlier.
| Item | 2025 price | 2026 price | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Festive Bake | £2.10 | £2.50 | +40p |
| Lunch baguette | £3.95 (Hot Christmas Lunch Baguette) | £4.10 (Festive Feast Baguette) | +15p |
| Flatbread | £3.65 (Hot Christmas Flatbread) | £3.75 (Festive Flatbread) | +10p |
| Christmas Cake Slice | £1.45 | £1.50 | +5p |
| Mini Caramel Shortbreads (6) | £2.25 | £2.50 | +25p |
2025 prices come from the Yorkshire Evening Post’s round-up of Greggs’ 2025 menu. The baguette and flatbread had different names last year, so treat those two as the closest matches rather than identical products.
Greggs hasn’t published nutrition figures for the new recipe yet. The 453 kcal you’ll see in our Festive Bake 2026 guide is the old recipe’s number (older Greggs listings show 458 kcal). Ham hock and soft cheese could change it, and I’ll update this page once Greggs’ nutrition pages catch up.
Vegan options on the Greggs festive menu 2026
For the last few years the Vegan Lattice (Festive Edition) has launched next to the Festive Bake: Quorn pieces, vegan bacon, stuffing balls and a cranberry and red onion sauce in puff pastry. It is not in Greggs’ 2026 announcements. It isn’t in the savoury range or the sweet range Greggs published, and the press coverage doesn’t list it either.
That doesn’t rule out a plant-based bake later in the season, but nothing official says one is coming, so I won’t promise it. One thing worth knowing: if you’ve seen a 6 November launch date or a “confirmed” vegan lattice on another site, that’s last year’s launch. In 2025 the festive range started on 6 November and the Vegan Lattice cost £2.10.
What can vegans eat right now? The Sweet Mince Pies are labelled vegan friendly (crumbly shortcrust pastry, vine fruits, Bramley apple and candied peel), at £2.60 for a six-pack. Greggs hasn’t said the Sweet Mince Pie Roll or any savoury festive item is vegan. Our Greggs vegan menu guide covers the year-round options, and I’ll add a plant-based bake to this page and the Christmas menu hub the day Greggs confirms one.
Sweet treats, doughnuts and the candy cane drinks
The sweet side is where most of the novelty sits. The White Chocolate Gingerbread Cookie (£1.70) packs in white chocolate buttons, chocolate lentils, crystallised ginger and caramel balls under a gold sugar crunch. The ball-shaped Millionaire’s Doughnut (£1.50) has a caramel filling, salted caramel flavour icing and chocolate-coated shortcake pieces. Press coverage also lists a Double Chocolate Doughnut (£1.40). The Sweet Mince Pie Roll (£1.00) is puff pastry filled with mincemeat made from vine fruits, Bramley apples and candied peel, dusted with icing sugar.
On drinks, the Candy Cane Mint Iced Matcha Latte (from £3.60) is the newcomer for matcha fans, made with semi-skimmed milk and mint syrup and topped with peppermint sugar sprinkles. The Candy Cane Mint Hot Chocolate starts at £2.90 and comes iced too. The Hazelnut Crunch and Salted Caramel lattes start at £2.85 hot or £3.35 iced. Every festive drink is also available over ice. Novelty Buns follow from 17 November. Our Greggs sweet treats guide has calories for the year-round doughnuts and buns.
The advent calendar question. I can’t find a 2026 Greggs advent calendar announced anywhere. The first one, in 2017, cost £24 and held tokens Greggs valued at £35 to £60, and it went on sale in selected shops around 20 November. If a 2026 edition follows that pattern, it would turn up in the second half of November. Our advent calendar tracker has the history.
What you’ll pay in London, at airports and when you eat in
Every price so far is a standard-tier price, meaning your local high-street or retail-park Greggs. Greggs prices by location type, and Greggs hasn’t published festive prices for each tier. The figures below apply our own tier percentages to the £2.50 bake, so treat them as estimates and check the app or the till.
Standard
High-street and retail-park shops. The baseline for every “from” price in this article.
Festive Bake: £2.50City and London
City-centre shops, including London, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Our price checks put items 11–19% above standard.
Festive Bake: roughly £2.80–£3.00Airport and motorway
Franchise partners at travel hubs and services. Our checks put these 27–55% above standard.
Festive Bake: roughly £3.20–£3.90Eating in adds a further 20% VAT on items that are zero-rated as takeaway, whichever tier you’re in. At a standard shop that turns the £2.50 bake into £3.00. Delivery through Just Eat or Uber Eats typically adds another 15–20% on in-store prices, based on our checks. For item-by-item numbers, see our London vs rest of UK comparison, the explainer on why Greggs costs more at airports, and the Greggs Price Finder tool.
Calories and Syns for the 2026 festive menu
Greggs has published nutrition for only a few of the 2026 items so far: the Sweet Mince Pie Roll, the Sweet Mince Pies and the Pigs in Blankets. Everything below is on Greggs’ own allergens and nutrition pages or the shop listings that copy them, apart from the Festive Bake, which uses the old recipe’s figure.
Festive calories, compared
Published figures only. The Festive Bake bar uses the old recipe’s number until Greggs updates it.
| Item | Portion | Calories | Est. Syns (20 kcal per Syn) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Festive Bake (old recipe) | 1 bake | 453 kcal | ~22.5 |
| Sweet Mince Pie Roll | 1 roll (93.5g) | 354 kcal | ~17.5 |
| Sweet Mince Pie | 1 pie (70g) | 281 kcal | ~14 |
| Pigs in Blankets | pot of six | 233 kcal | ~11.5 |
The Syn values are my estimates from calories, using the common rule of thumb of about 20 kcal per Syn. They aren’t official Slimming World figures, and the real value can differ, so check the Slimming World app for the number you should log.
Sugar is worth a glance too. Greggs lists 27g in the Sweet Mince Pie Roll and 22g in a single Sweet Mince Pie. A single Sweet Mince Pie (281 kcal) and a pot of Pigs in Blankets (233 kcal) both come in under 300 kcal, and our guide to Greggs items under 300 calories has the year-round lower-calorie picks. On last year’s recipe number, the Festive Bake is about 23% of a 2,000 kcal reference intake in one square. Fine once or twice a season.
Allergen note: the 2026 Festive Bake adds ham hock and soft cheese, so don’t rely on last year’s allergen details. Check the Greggs allergen guide or the app before you order. If you manage a food allergy, the Food Standards Agency’s allergy guidance is a plain-English starting point.
My value verdict: what’s worth buying in 2026
I priced every item with published calories per 100 kcal, because that’s the sort of nerd I am. A single Sweet Mince Pie from the six-pack works out at about 43p for 281 kcal, roughly 15p per 100 kcal, which is the cheapest energy on the festive shelf. The £1.00 roll comes in at about 28p. The Festive Bake is about 55p on last year’s number. The pot of Pigs in Blankets is the dearest at about £1.07, which is what you’d expect from a small pot of sausage and bacon. That’s calories per pound, not a measure of flavour or how full you’ll feel.
What 100 kcal costs
Pence per 100 kcal at standard prices, using published calories. The Festive Bake uses the old recipe’s figure.
The bake is 35p to 40p up on last year and I’ll grumble about that in the queue like everyone else. Even so, £2.50 for a hot Christmas dinner you can eat one-handed on a cold platform is hard to beat on the high street. The £4.10 toastie is the leap of faith: Greggs hasn’t published its calories yet, and it costs £1.60 more than the bake.
- Buy the bake before the toastie if you’re counting pence. It’s £2.50 against £4.10.
- Shop at a standard-tier shop and take it away. City premiums of 11–19%, airport premiums of 27–55% and the eat-in VAT are the easiest festive savings to avoid.
- Order through Click + Collect in the Greggs app. You skip the queue and earn stamps. Orders through Just Eat and Uber Eats don’t earn stamps.
- Go early for the bake. Festive items can go quickly in the first couple of weeks, and the app lets you order ahead.
- Share the six-packs. The mince pies and mini shortbreads are cheapest per bite in multipacks, though six mince pies is a commitment.
Christmas, as far as Greggs is concerned, starts on 22 October this year. See you in the queue.
